Welcome to our Swedish home
Inspired by our heritage we created our summer story with stripes and florals, in a beloved 1700-century house at Skansen in Stockholm.
A TRIBUTE TO SWEDISH HOMELINESS
The soulful Swedish folk art and craftsmanship traditions guide me when I make my prints and textiles. This summer me and brilliant photographer Fabian Björnstjerna created our summer story at the unique heritage house Delsbogården at Skansen in Stockholm.
COLOURED BY NATURE
Coloured by the sun, crisp mornings, soft green sprouts and blue skies. Our Linen textiles are a tribute to nature’s simple but essential pleasures of life and it´s ever inspiring and comfortable colours. Printed on beautiful Linen, consciously made with great craftsmanship.
The red cottage (stuga in Swedish) and it's wooden decor is a beautiful example of traditional Swedish houses. Since 1573, the red paint from the Falu gruva copper mine get's it colour from red iron oxide, have been frequently used both in interiors, exteriors and roofs. It is in many ways is a part of our national identity.
IN GOOD COMPANY HAVING A SWEDISH FIKA
In good company of people we love, accompanied by comfortable textiles and personal pieces. To share food, set the table and to bring in fresh flowers is very much what makes a place feel like home.
We set the table at Ekshäradsgården to share a Swedish ”fika”, meaning a tea or coffee break. Always with an irresistable cinnamon bun or slice of pie or cake
WARMTH AND COSINESS
The soulful folk art and painting decor in these wooden houses from 1700-1800 are national treasures, but most importantly once upon a time the creation of someones home.
CREATING PRINTS WITH LOVE
The natural materials, colours and moods have shaped me since I was a kid. I guess subconsciously I have always interpreted this in my own making of patterns and objects, in my own story. My hopes are that these become a part of your story too, in your own interpretation.
